Whatcha' Think About That? I've had this reviewed on Broadjam.com and received some interesting critiques. Folks seem to like it a lot, or despise it a lot. Had two film musicians gave great feedback regarding it. Both gave the song high ratings. One said, "You'll never hear this one over the radio, but a director might include it in a movie." Hold your breath 'til that happens!

Gone Away Wrote this one a few years back and felt it might sound pretty good if someone sung it other than me. My son-in-law, Gordon Vaughn, took a liking to it and laid down a sound track for it. Then a member of the "Cool for August" band, Chris Harris, laid down all the musical tracks for the rendition. His mandolin and violin play is so beautiful that I named the musical break the "Ambrosia Interlude." If nothing else, I think all will enjoy the Ambrosia Interlude. |

Not Long Ago? Wrote this song for my mother as a Mothers’ Day present and she loved it. She's no longer physically with me yet I often recall memories of her as if she were. This is the only song I’ve written that does not rhyme. But this matters not, however, when mixed with the melody. I apologize for my poor musical rendition, but hopefully my efforts jump-start you into writing or saying something meaningful to your mom this Mothers’ Day, and every day afterward. She’ll be gone before you know it, so don’t wait to tell her how much she means to you while you can. |
The Loving Time Here’s one for anyone in the military who has been or is currently separated from his or her loved ones. I retired from the Air Force and, therefore, was separated many times during my tours of duty, including nine months in Vietnam at Phan Rang AFB, RVN. My heart goes out to the many Service Reserve members currently separated from their families and suffering through hell on earth. May God bless them for the work they are doing, and provide speedy returns home for each of them. This song was written to assure my wife that though not with her, I loved her no less. I hope you enjoy and it touches you toward giving your loved one, or ones, big hugs and kisses the next time you see 'em. |

Lately (Duo)? I wrote this song for Crystal Gale many years ago, though I never got it to her. That process is difficult to do les'n you know someone who knows someone, etc. We made two masters of it, of which I relish this first rendition. The bass play at the beginning sounds as if an 18-wheel Mack truck and trailer is driving thru my freshly manicured front yard while I helplessly reside in a tub with my Woody Allen water ducky collection.. My friends, Charlie and Joy Awn added the music and vocals to both songs. I like this one because of the primary and backup vocals Joy applied, along with the music and wailing vocal additions Charlie added to the mix. Lately (Second cut) is a remake of this one. If you are a mind to do so, please e-mail me and, assuming you enjoy one of the versions, please tell me why. |
Lately (Second cut) Joy and Charlie did their magic again in another studio. This one is a smoother production in which Charlie and Joy pleased me with what they did to one of my songs. Please listen to both and provide feedback via the e-mail icon button located on the home page. Thanks! egg |

What Do You Do? This is a fun song written in the same vein as one penned by Mac Davis years ago called "Oh, Lord It's Hard to be Humble" It is intended for your listening pleasure, and if it brings a laugh or two, it will have achieved the goal for which it was created. I realize it has imperfections, but don't we all. If'n you have a keen ear for such, you might discern that my partner and I were well into a bottle of Southern Comfort when we cut the song. 'Nuff said. |
The Party! Another song written to lighten your load.
Imagine yourself in a bar observing a make-believe
cowboy with his hat cocked back on his head.
Backed against the bar, his elbows resting on top of it, he
scans split-tails in hopes of cutting out a little
filly. You snicker as you notice his shirt opened at the
top allowing potential companions to view a few sprigs of chest hair. |

If you have a loved one,
friend, or acquaintance serving in the military, have them visit the eggsproductions web site, listen to the song, and provide e-mail
feedback regarding it. We know that Gordon and the
Bro' would
appreciate such comments. |
A great hip-hop song that Gordon Vaughn created and produced in collaboration with a soul brother. This song should be airing over the radio and TV wavelengths, yet it has not been recorded. Why not? Beats hell out of us! If any of you know an established female hip-hop artist who is looking for a great song, here it is. Tell the artist to drop us an e-mail and we'll link the artist with Gordon and the Bro'. |

Though a generalizing statement, it must be a rare individual who journeys thru the years of teens without at least one heartbreak. This song is about a teen-ager who bit the bullet. |
My wife and I created these lyrics A few years ago. We were moved by the events of 9-11 to put together this song rendition in which we empathize with those who lost loved ones and/or friends and acquaintances on that day. |
