Song Lyrics

"WHAT DO YOU DO?"

(when you're male, poor, but handsome)

CHORUS
---------------------------------------------------------------
What do you do...when you're male, poor, but handsome.
in this land of plenty?
Where the girls can't keep their hands from touching you.
What do you do?
---------------------------------------------------------------
I met one last night...
who said it felt right that she should have me;
ranted and raved 'bout me.
So, I gave her my number, told her to call me on the phone.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Here comes another
just like the others who adore me.
Can't stay 'way, don't ya' see?
Though it sounds crazy, they refuse other male company.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Sometimes I get hard times
from guys whose girls fail to walk that line.
They wink and wave at me.
One tried to pick a fight, but his girlfriend swung her purse
and he saw the light.

(REPEAT CHORUS TWICE)

What do you doooooooo?  What do you do?

The Party

I caught her eye.... when she passed by
'cause she walked right up and asked if I'd join her at the party.
We walked right in… amongst her friends
then it dawned on me there were no more men at the party.

CHORUS

They were drinkin', smokin', and havin' some fun.
When they looked at me, hell, I wanted to run.
'Cause there were young girls, wives, and grandmas, too
laughin', shoutin', "Take your clothes off you!" at the party.

One grabbed my shirt... tore it with a jerk.
Said, "Let's bare his skin... for all our friends at the party!"

I lost my hat... as I ran out the back.
Didn't like the thought of being meat for the pack at the party.

(Repeat Chorus)

I wasn't crazy 'bout that party.
At the party...
